Chapter One: Who Owns All Things?
|
|
So, let’s go back to
my early years in Illinois when I knew I had to earn money to buy what I needed. As soon as I was old enough to push a
lawnmower, off I went into the summer morning sunshine. Pushing our grass-green lawnmower down the
bumpy sidewalk, I went door to door, asking the neighbors if I could mow their
lawn. Mowing a lawn in those days earned you about 25˘. Some of my neighbors were quite nice. They complimented my work and would even give
me a tip. Then there was the grouchy neighbor
next door. No
matter how hard I tried, the elderly man would
always find something wrong. Week after
week I pushed the lawnmower, saving up my money. I remember clearly the evening when sat down
to first count how much money I had earned.
I was so excited as I pulled out a couple of wrinkled dollars, then
poured out my pile of quarters on the
couch. I had seven and a half
dollars! I was sure that I was the
richest, and definitely the happiest, kid on my block. I had earned and saved enough money to buy
anything I could think of. Fortunately,
my most-wanted list was very short. My
list included candy bars, a pet lizard, and even a new toy.
Time journey to the beginning: As science tells us, sometime during the
creation of the universe, called the big bang, our Milky Way galaxy was formed
within the infinite explosion. Out on one of the spinning legs of our spiral
galaxy was created a bright shinning star we call the Sun. In some mysterious way, of which no one is
certain, a planet called Earth, as well as a number of other amazing planets,
was formed and were sent spinning around that particular star. Our Earth is a treasure of land and sea,
solid minerals and gases, snow and ice, plants and animals, and beautiful forms
of life everywhere. This amazing list
goes on and on. Your belief may be this
is what we call “Mother Earth,” but certainly much more than just the earth is
involved here. If I had created all things, I would want credit for my work,
but I didn’t create all things. Ultimately, in keeping with our logic,
whoever did the work to create the universe is the one that owns our galaxy, our
Sun, and the Earth with all its treasures. Is this a belief you can find
acceptable?

Chapter Three: How Blessed are We?
|
How does a typical poor Mexican family really live? Journey with me as we take a trip to help a
Mexican family get a new home and joyful hope for their future. We are going on a very short-term missionary
trip with Amor Ministries (www.amor.org), located in San Diego.
We take along our citizenship papers to get back to the US, but oddly the Mexican border guard doesn’t
even check who is entering Mexico. We take food, water, a tent, and other
camping gear to keep us dry if the rain comes.
Amazingly, with our youth group of about twenty-five kids, we can
complete a house in only four days.
Day one and we are off to the worksite with excitement and energy in
the air. The Amor leader warns us that
we will be driving down railroad tracks to get to the family’s existing home
and their new home site next door.
Goose, our Amor leader, is a bit of a joker, so I figure this is just
another joke. Then the railroad tracks show up at the end of our long, rutted,
and bumpy ride down a dirt road. Our
anxiety goes up a few notches as our right tires bounce down the railroad ties. The family’s existing home, our worksite, has
unusual directions: the only house, literally, on the right side of the railroad tracks, leaving Tecate to the east.
Meeting the family on the first day is one of the most joyous moments, as we meet the family, concerns and fear quickly turn to smiles and everyone
joining in to build the new home. Sylvia
and Jesus Guadalupe are the parents of four girls and one boy. Julie, the eldest, is twelve years old and
spends much of her time taking care of her one-year-old sister. A deep love can be seen in Julie’s beautiful
dark eyes. The Guadalupe family’s current home is dark and damp, made
of scraps of plywood, and has a dirt floor.
It does not have any windows, running water, a sink, hot water, a front
door, or heat!

|
|
The Golden Keys open much more than ordinary earthly treasure. The unique

treasure ever found. You will not need to go diving for sunken treasure. You will not need to dig deep into the earth
to reap the rewards of the treasures opened here. However, you will have to do
some work. You will have to pick up each
Golden Key and put it into action. You
can’t open a treasure chest without a key, and the key must be taken to the
treasure chest. It must be inserted into
the lock and turned. Next, you must pick
up the treasure and go cash it in. So,
it is up to you to pick up the Golden Keys and put them into action. You must have a burning desire to take the Nine Golden Keys to the treasure. And you must have a passion for action in order to open the true treasure. Are you up
