I suppose the History of this book is as old as me, the author.  Fortunately there are only a few extraordinary events in my life that directly relate to the history of the book.  This will help keep things short.

The first amazing event was my first prayer to God when I asked; "Why am I here, what am I suppose to do"  Being young and having never talked to God I wasn't sure what to expect, but I immediately "heard" back; " You are to serve other people and .........."  I have since found out that not everyone "hears" God.  The most extraordinary thing, though, was the second part of God's response, but you'll have to read the book to find out what He said!  Sorry to keep you hanging.

In High School I was just an average student, mostly B's and C's.  Although my ancestors arrived in the colonies in 1650, no one in my family had every gone to college.  I had no idea what my future held.  Luckily for me I meet my one love in high school and her Dad was sending her to college to be an engineer.  So, not knowing what else to do, I followed her through junior college and then to the University of Illinois where we joined a co-operative education program.  We spent alternating semesters at the NASA Dryden Flight Research Center in California working on advanced projects.  It was a very exciting time, and soon I found myself working full time at NASA as a civil servant, along with my wife

I was being paid to do research that would serve the general public!  I don't suppose you can call this extraordinary, but it was way beyond anything I imagined.  I had become a servant just as I was told long ago.

My adult years have been filled with doing NASA research on things no one had ever done before, building a log home, and facing the fact my wife had an inoperative brain tumor.  I've watched miracles take place, like seeing my wife's cancer go into remission.  I learned of the desperate need of the poor and serve the poor in Mexico.  Wondering what I could do to encourage and motivate people to stop the overwhelming deaths of the innocent and helpless in our world, God had me write a book.  The result is my new book, A Joyous Plan to Live and Give, With Nine Golden Keys to True Treasure.  That in a nutshell is the history behind the Book.
